Virtual Book Club?

I really miss seeing Allatoona students in the library each day and talking about books! Since we will not be back at school for the remainder of the year, I started thinking about forming a virtual book club. With the free Sora app, we have been given access to several multiple use ebooks and audiobooks which are perfect for a book club setting.

We can read and meet via Zoom to discuss. What will we read? Let’s vote between the following:

Mentor Assignment Week 3

Mentorship Assignment Week 3

Hi Allatoona Mentors! Hope you all are hanging in there! I really miss seeing everyone in the library and around school but I am so thankful that we are safe at home. Continue reading your leadership book however you do not have a video due this week.

Happy Monday! I hope you all are staying well and not going too stir crazy being at home! I received 25 Flipgrid videos (GOOD JOB!) but I have not heard from 10 of you. For the 10 missing, make sure to get your first video uploaded ASAP because you will have another one due Friday. Flipgrid directions are listed in an earlier blog post. Let me start by saying that I sure do miss seeing your faces! I want to clarify a few things about the Flipgrid video that is due today. The videos are moderated which means I have to watch and approve before they go live. That is why you aren’t seeing your video immediately after you upload. Also, ALL that needs to be included in today’s video is your name, the book you WILL BE reading and why you chose it. We will be reading this one book over our time of social distancing.
