The Bucs are back!
It has been wonderful having students back on campus and in the library at full capacity! Our hours are 7:15-4:00 Monday thru Friday. The media staff and mentors are working hard to keep our environment clean and sanitized. We have a system in place to insure that all computer stations are germ free. Students know that if the keyboard is down (as if it has been used), the station is not sanitized. If the keyboard is propped up, it is clean. Cleaning supplies are located all around the media center for easy access.
The Creativity Room is open and stocked for school-related projects. Lunch passes are available each day until the start of 3rd block. Students should eat first and then use the lunch pass to leave the cafeteria and head to the media center.
We have enjoyed having all our freshman literature students in for orientation as well as many other classes in for book checkout. New books come in every week and we are still taking student book requests. The Bookaneers Book Club is forming now. If you are interested, please stop by the media center or email Mrs. Cochran. All are welcome!
Searching for books by Lexile
Many 9th graders recently took their Scholastic Reading Inventory which provides students with a Lexile Level. Lexile Levels help match readers to books that they will enjoy reading. The link below provides directions for searching Destiny (our online library catalog) by Lexile Levels.
